The reality of traveling is that things can happen and people can get hurt or sick. Although it's not very common (which is good!) our leaders are trained in first aid, and they carry first aid kits as well as a list of all hospitals and medical centers near all of our destinations.
In the event that a traveler does require medical attention, one leader will escort the traveler to the hospital and help them with sorting out their insurance documents and whatever else is required. Our protocol is to contact the customer service team as well as have the traveler contact their emergency contact and bring them up to speed on the situation. We are quite serious when it comes to the safety of all our staff and travelers, and will seek out professional medical care at the slightest indication that it may be required.
